Walk ‘At home in Loosduinen’
This brochure includes a ‘green-yellow’ walk through nature in Loosduinen, with references to artworks in public spaces and locations of cultural heritage. Vroondaal is mentioned on page 8, with information on its archeologic heritage ‘De Stenen Kamer’. The walk ends at the centre of Loosduinen, where there are three heritage locations; the abbey church (oldest church in The Hague), The windmill and the Loosduin Museum.
The walk takes about two and a half hours and is part of the ‘The Hague Bridge Project Plan’, which is set up to increase contact between the expat community and the other citizens of The Hague.
Sport
In the nearby area of Vroondaal Hofstedepark an wide range of activities are organised. Within the area of Vroondaal/Madestein, Ockenburgh and the Uithof there are dozens of sports clubs and facility’s, among those are hockey, tennis, soccer and cricket fields. If you are a sports lover, you can join the near by golf club, riding school, ice skate and ice hockey club or the bowling and squash centre Ockenburgh Active.

Children’s activity
The younger residents of Vroondaal will not be missing out. Last march there was a bear hunt, during Halloween houses are decorated, on Sint-Maarten evening the children go along the houses with lanterns and at the end of the year there is a Sinterklaas visiting Hofstedepark.
